Synonyms CUL-4B | MRXHF2 | MRXS15 | MRXSC | SFM2
Gene Description CUL4B, cullin 4B, is a component of cullin–RING ubiquitin ligase complexes that acts as a scaffold protein, mediating protein ubiquitination and degradation (PMID: 19801544), and plays a role in cell cycle regulation and DNA replication (PMID: 19801544, PMID: 26344709) and embryonic development (PMID: 22606329, PMID: 38318354). Overexpression of Cul4b has been identified in a variety of tumor types (PMID: 28630798) including clear cell renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 33022894), prostate cancer (PMID: 30609075), lung cancer (PMID: 27974468), and colorectal cancer (PMID: 32054830).
