| Gene Description | CASR, calcium sensing receptor, is a G-protein coupled receptor that detects extracellular calcium concentration and maintains calcium homeostasis (PMID: 11152759), therefore plays an important role in diverse cellular processes (PMID: 23267858, PMID: 30443043). Altered expression of Casr has been identified in a variety of tumor types (PMID: 32117726) with overexpression identified in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (PMID: 31926993) and decreased expression in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PMID: 39579056), endometrial cancer (PMID: 29348629), colon cancer (PMID: 25701758), and gastric cancer (PMID: 26153034). | ||||||||||
