| Gene Description | PPFIA1, PPFI scaffold protein A1, encodes the liprin-alpha1 protein, which plays a role in cell motility (PMID: 19690048) and migration (PMID: 17363573), presynaptic active zone assembly (PMID: 42190811), and vascular morphogenesis (PMID: 27876801). A PPPFIA1-ALK fusion has been identified in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 37706178), amplification of PPFIA1 has been identified in oral squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 23453270) and breast cancer (PMID: 19787783), and increased expression of Ppfia1 has been identified in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 37158817). | ||||||||||||
