Gene Description H2BC12, H2B clustered histone 12, is a member of the histone H2B family of histone proteins that encodes a core component of the nucleosome (PMID: 33827674) and is involved in transcriptional regulation (PMID: 18675384) and may play a role in cellular differentiation (PMID: 23717473). Increased expression of H2BC12 has been observed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 31562239).
