Gene Description ACTL6A, actin like 6A, encodes for a subunit of the SWI/SNF complex, which plays a key role in the regulation and maintenance of embryonic and adult stem cells (PMID: 25802002, PMID: 23018638). An ACTL6A-PIK3CA fusion has been identified in breast cancer and co-amplification of ACTL6A and TP63 has been observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 29242214, PMID: 28041841).
