Gene Description EED, embryonic ectoderm development, is a core subunit of polycomb repressive complex 2, which is involved in transcriptional regulation and the maintenance of transcriptional repression during development (PMID: 30951652, PMID: 27449971). Mutations and deletions of EED have been identified in malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (PMID: 25240281) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 22237106).
