Gene Description PABPC4, polyadenylate-binding protein cytoplasmic 4, encodes a protein that binds to the poly(A) tail of mRNA, which regulates mRNA stability and translation to control gene expression during development, differentiation, and cell activation (PMID: 8524242, PMID: 15355595, PMID: 24469397). Overexpression of Pabpc4 has been observed in colorectal cancer (PMID: 22884093) and a PABPC4-TYK2 fusion has been identified in anaplastic large cell lymphoma (PMID: 25873174).
