Gene Description CD84, CD84 molecule, is a homophilic adhesion receptor that plays a role in stabilizing B-T cell interaction (PMID: 20153220), maintaining B-cell tolerance at the germinal center checkpoint (PMID: 25801429), promoting activation of T-cells (PMID: 12928397) and autophagy in dendritic cells (PMID: 29434592), and suppressing FceRI-mediated signaling in mast cells (PMID: 22068234), and may promote immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment by inducing PD-L1 expression (PMID: 33465053, PMID: 30277471). CD84 overexpression has been observed in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (PMID: 23435417) and acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 40633676, PMID: 42098093).
