Gene Description

CCNF, cyclin F, is an F-box protein that plays a role in DNA repair and cell-cycle regulation through substrate recognition as a member of the E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, which mediates protein degradation (PMID: 28652210, PMID: 28954236, PMID: 31130363). Decreased expression of CCNF has been observed in hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 23305207), while increased expression has been reported in melanoma (PMID: 29767233), and Ccnf mutations have been reported in Endemic Burkitt lymphoma (PMID: 26468873).
