Gene Description AIP, aryl hydrocarbon receptor interacting protein, is a chaperone protein involved in stabilization and localization of AhR (PMID: 38479600), and through its interaction with numerous binding partners plays a role in immune response (PMID: 25911105, PMID: 31042473), apoptosis (PMID: 34588620), cytoskeletal organization (PMID: 29507682), and proliferation (PMID: 18381572). Germline AIP mutations have been associated with pituitary adenomas (PMID: 38479600) and overexpression of Aip has been identified in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PMID: 31042473).
