Gene Description | INA, internexin neuronal intermediate filament protein alpha, also known as alpha-internexin is a type IV intermediate filament protein of the cytoskeleton that may play a role in cell differentiation (PMID: 29940892). Altered expression of Ina has been reported in medulloblastomas, neuroblastomas, while loss of expression has been observed in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (PMID: 29940892), and an FGFR2-INA fusion has been reported in low-grade mixed neuronal-glial tumors (PMID: 29767381) and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (PMID: 31109923). | ||||||||||
