Gene Symbol CD3E
Synonyms CD3epsilon | IMD18 | T3E | TCRE
Gene Description CD3E, CD3 epsilon subunit of T-cell receptor complex, is a subunit of the T-cell receptor complex that is involved in T-cell receptor signaling by interacting with Nck and Lck upon antigen recognition, leading to phosphorylation of the T-cell receptor and subsequent T-cell activation and downstream signaling (PMID: 28659468, PMID: 33917227, PMID: 12110186, PMID: 31674657). Overexpression of CD3E has been observed in multiple myeloma (PMID: 21669053).
