Gene Description CD4, CD4 molecule, is a glycoprotein that recognizes MHC class II peptides on antigen-presenting cells, regulates activation of T-lymphocytes leading to proliferation and differentiation of effector T-cells, and plays a key role in adaptive immune response (PMID: 22474485, PMID: 8057386).
