Gene Description CD27, CD27 molecule, encodes for a member of the TNF receptor family, which binds to CD70, thereby, co-stimulating T and B cells (PMID: 32152062), inducing cell survival and activating the NF-kappaB pathway (PMID: 15886117, PMID: 23264908). CD27 expression in lymphoma and leukemia cells has been associted with increased cell proliferation and differentiation (PMID: 23264908), and decreased Cd27 expression has been associated with poor prognosis in multiple myeloma (PMID: 32120013), while high soluble Cd27 in serum has been observed in lung cancer patients with decreased survival (PMID: 31533124).
