Synonyms GP52-40 | TSPAN26
Gene Description CD37, leukocyte antigen CD37, is a member of the tetraspanin family that is expressed predominately on B-cells and is involved in cell adhesion, migration, and spreading (PMID: 30072994). Loss of CD37 expression has been associated with decreased survival of B-cell lymphoma patients (PMID: 29896201) and targeting CD37 with antibodies may be effective in treating B-cell malignancies (PMID: 24555705).
