| Gene Description | CD44, CD44 molecule (Indian blood group), is non-kinase transmembrane glycoprotein that binds the ligand, hyaluronan, and plays a role in cell proliferation and cell motility (PMID: 28326306, PMID: 29747682). Overexpression of CD44 has been observed in gastric cancer (PMID: 32219571), is commonly found in epithelial originated tumors (PMID: 27200096), and has been associated with poor prognosis in glioma (PMID: 32232385) and glioblastoma (PMID: 32099472). | ||||||||||
