Gene Description CD79B, CD79b molecule, encodes for a membrane protein involved in forming the B cell receptor complex, which once formed, induces B cell activation (PMID: 24146823). CD79B mutations demonstrate constitutive activation of the NF-kB pathway in diffuse large B-cell lymphomas (PMID: 21324920) and have also been observed in primary testicular diffuse large B-Cell lymphoma (PMID: 32063711) and primary adrenal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PMID: 31609782).
