Gene Description GIT2, GIT ArfGAP 2, is a GTPase-activating protein involved in negative regulation of ARF proteins (PMID: 10788515, PMID: 27182061), and plays a role in organization of the actin cytoskeleton (PMID: 11251077), cell spreading (PMID: 11448998, PMID: 16628223) and migration (PMID: 19776348), and in DNA repair (PMID: 25605334). A GIT2-PDGFRB fusion has been identified in chronic myeloproliferative disorder (PMID: 17296564), GIT2-BRAF has been identified in pilocytic astrocytoma (PMID: 29141672), and ROS1-GIT2 has been identified in non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis (PMID: 36416966).
