Gene Description MAGI2, membrane associated guanylate kinase, WW and PDZ domain containing 2, encodes a scaffold protein that is a member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase family, which interacts with PTEN, stabilizing its expression and thereby enhancing the suppression of PI3K/AKT signaling (PMID: 25271328, PMID: 10760291). MAGI2 rearrangements and decreased expression has been identified in prostate cancer (PMID: 21307934, PMID: 29542165).
