Gene Variant Descriptions TP53 K132E lies within the DNA-binding domain of the Tp53 protein (PMID: 22713868). K132E results in increased Tp53 protein stability, but induces similar processing of miR-18a, expression of Er-alpha, and cell proliferation as wild-type Tp53 in culture (PMID: 24975878), but has not been fully biochemically characterized and therefore, its effect on Tp53 protein function is unknown.
