Gene Variant Descriptions HRAS G13S is hotspot mutation that lies within the GTP-binding domain of the Hras protein (UniProt.org). G13S results in increased Hras GTPase activity, loss of response to GTPase-activating proteins, leading to transformation in Xenopus oocytes (PMID: 8430333).
