Gene Variant Descriptions PIK3CA G106_R108del results in the deletion of three amino acids in the region linking the PI3K-ABD and PI3K-RBD domains of the Pik3ca protein from amino acids 106 to 108 (UniProt.org). G106_R108del results in increased phosphorylation of Akt and is transforming in cell culture (PMID: 19394761, PMID: 29533785).
