Gene Variant Descriptions BRAF A598_T599insARC results in the insertion of three amino acids in the protein kinase domain of the Braf protein between amino acids 598 and 599 (UniProt.org). BRAF A598_T599insARC has not been characterized however, other insertions between A598 and T599 are activating (PMID: 16501605), and therefore, A598_T599insARC is predicted to lead to a gain of Braf protein function.
