KPT-185 is a small molecule inhibitor of the nuclear export, XPO1 (CRM1), preventing export of tumor suppressor proteins thereby possibly restoring tumor suppressor function in the cell and thus, leading to apoptotic activity (PMID: 25579209). KPT-185 has been demonstrated to be unsuitable for in vivo studies due to weak pharmacokinetic properties (PMID: 23373539). |
